Mission Statement

At Reality Strikes, our sports programmes are developed and run by qualified coaches and education professionals with over 30 years of experience across a range of academic settings. Our objective is to develop the academic and sporting skills of young, aspiring students, re-engaging them with education, and providing the best foundations and opportunities for progression in sport and life.

We achieve this through study towards accredited qualifications in core GCSE subjects, vocational sports leaders' Level 1 & 2 qualifications, and in-depth careers advice on the next steps for education and future careers in a multitude of industries. Alongside education, students will receive extensive training, expert analysis, and regular competitive matches.

Daily professional sports training is complemented by lessons in diet and nutrition, health, and fitness, all tailored for elite sports performance. Our alternative education provision is designed to re-engage students with education while providing insight into the inner workings of a professional sporting academy setting. Our trauma-informed approach equips us to work with all students, accommodating any additional needs they may have.

Our programmes are tailored for students aged 11-16, who are struggling to engage in a mainstream educational setting but have a love for football or a desire for a career in the sporting industry. We believe that our students mature not just as athletes and employees but also as individuals. They will learn to develop social skills, enabling them to work seamlessly as part of a team and confidently as individuals.

A Philosophy of Routine

Education lessons will take place first thing in the morning. Research shows that students' brains are more active during this time, enhancing their academic performance. Students are expected to fully engage with the educational programme in the morning to participate in the football programme in the afternoon.

Upon arrival at our football academy in Birmingham, every student is given a personalised training kit and tracksuit, which is expected to be worn at all times, fostering a sense of unity and pride.
